Elisa Riera and Alicia Roselló are two designers from Barcelona who are creators and organizers of Festivalet.
In 2009, given the lack of outlets to
promote young, independent designers, they decided to start Festivalet, a
self-managed craft fair where small brands can be given an outlet.
It first started in Christmas of 2009 as a small fair with 8 booths at La Central del Raval, in Barcelona. Due to its success, Elisa and Alicia decided to put together another edition half a year later with a few more booths. As interest by designers and the public increased, they continued to organize a fair every Christmas, moving from 8 booths to 108 today.
They grew each year, slowly but surely. Currently, Festivalet remains completely independent, managed and organized by Elisa and Alicia. The goal is to promote and support small designers and encourage a closer, warmer way of shopping.
Festivalet is a craft fair featuring independent designers and artisans, held yearly in Barcelona since 2009. Since its beginnings it has been growing year after year, and has become the benchmark fair in its sector.
After the success of 10 editions, and seeing the growing demand and interest from the public and participants, Festivalet is now also online.
The Festivalet is a trade fair for independent designers and artisans that has been held annually in Barcelona since 2009. Since its inception it has been growing year after year and has become the reference fair in the sector.
